Hello, Karen here! Today I want to take you back in time to 2013 when my husband, Matt, and I first learned how to sell eBooks. Now I know what you’re probably thinking. How in the world and I going to become an Author and start writing books?!? Or maybe you’re thinking, “Yeah I am a decent writer…but I’m not sure I have the time or desire (for that matter) to sit and write books!!” My answer to your concerns is – Don’t worry, you don’t have to!
In 2013, Matt and I were desperate to make more money. We were both working jobs (we did not love) that paid the bills but not much was left over for fun or anything else we dreamed of having in our lives. It was definitely stressful to say the least. We knew that we wanted more out of life than just working hard for someone else and making them money.
Matt, being the master of exploring the Internet that he is, came across a guy, younger than both of us, making thousands of dollars in passive income every month selling his eBooks. Lucky for us, he offered a step-by-step program on how to sell eBooks!
Looking back I think the biggest reason we have had success was that we were willing to take a chance on learning a skill from someone we didn’t personally know. Our motto has been “Why reinvent the wheel when you don’t have to?”. I hear many people tell me that instead on spending the money on the course or coaching (because most of the time they are quite expensive) they will just try to figure it out themselves. If that is you, go for it! And we wish you the best of luck, but the reality is that technology moves so fast these days, that often by the time you have learned the new skill on your own, the opportunity is no longer available for new people trying to enter the market.
I like to think about it this way – If a course or coaching is going to cost you say… $2000 but you start making $200 a month 2 to 3 months after you have gone through that program VS. trying to figure it out yourself, wouldn’t that make sense? Also, missing certain pieces of the puzzle can be costly resulting in you making little to NO money. Is it worth it to save an investment up front???? You will have to be the judge, but for us our goal is always to do what Tony Robbins says, “Find the best and learn from them”.
The example above is exactly what our experience was! We invested to get personal coaching to learn the skills we needed and within a few short months we were making money selling our ebooks online. And in less than two years, we are now making thousands of passive income each month, on a 100+ eBooks!! Exciting right?!
The best part is that we have done this without ever having to write a single book ourselves!!
